Bonjour my dear Friends ❤
Barely 2 days after spending the whole night, once again, at UNC’s Emergency Room… guess where Blueberry (EXPLAIN WHO HE IS) and I are this morning!!?? Once again😉lol …for yet another… heart surgery! (7th surgery in a row now!…do I qualify for any kind of discount? 😊😉sticker? chocolates? 😉)
Bonjour my dear Friends <3
Here forquick little update on my heart surgery/procedure of the other day and as sooooo many of YOU <3 expressed such amazing caring and support… which all bring so much love to my heart and so help me get through that endless streak of major health struggles…
SO my AMAZINGGGG surgeon Dr. Rossi (I could not recommend him enough if you ever want an incredibly and truly CARING and SKILLED heart surgeon!!!!)
So in a nutshell, after prepping me (aka … giving both of my wrists AND my inner thigh (aka groin aka little island of pleasure 😉 lol … a MAJOR BRAZILIAN shaving! 😉 my adorable nurse shaved me down there so much I literally felt like a baby !!! … I would post photos of that but… might chock a couple of you so I want to of course first and foremost be mindful <3 that this is NOT France! lol ) … then shaved my wrists where my arm and hand literally looked like the tail… of a show puddle! lol
So after all that prep I got in that AMAZINGGGG surgery room which is filled with the utmost display of AMAZING technology… all combined with a team of amazingly skilled and kind team and experts!
Then the whole anesthesia part (first the painful ones in my wrist to numb the first possible entrance through my wrist’s artery…) and so many other steps that I will pass on describing (interesting to note though that while they are pushing a probe all the way up my arm, shoulder, chest and finally entering my HEART! (crazyyyy amazingggg medicine and technology isn’t it! guess what!?… I am just chatting with all the people in the room! I mean… kind of… I am sure I am saying some quite funny and incoherent stuff (all my friends and ex girlfriends would probably jump in here to state ” no difference from Pascal WITHOUT anesthesia right!? 😉 lol ) as this is the kind of heavy sedation where you are half awake… which of course has the downside that you, at times, DO feel pain and discomfort and … weird stuff! lol
Then Dr. Rossi is showing me on the giant screen… the inside of my OWN HEART! which is truly mind blowing!
then back to recovery and that part was much rougher as my body just decided to bleed for… 6 hours! 🙁 and that was not too cool (little photo attached of that device on my wrist’s artery opening that puts huge pressure on it and progressively release it)
Between all the meds that I am on AND the how truly bangged up (how is that for very Shaeksprian erudition? 😉 lol ) my whole body is from all the surgeries… instead of bleeding 1 or 2 hours like the nurses and Doctors said would normally happen… I enjoyed doing so for 6 hours!!!
And then the super lucky news that none of my 4 stents had collapsed or no new major blockage (Dr. Rossi was worried about that) which is all of course super lucky news and I am deeply grateful for that…
Now the downside is that… no one knows why I have been feeling incredibly tired and weak and dizzy for the past few weeks and we have no solution in sight… Oh well… will keep taking it one day… I mean… 1 hour at a time <3 with endless gratefulness and making the very VERY best of each instant… always focusing on offering love and kindness to all… which is not a bad way to live one’s heart and one’s life isn’t it? 🙂
And both my dear friend Ginny Hall <3 and my always amazing little sunshine Stephanie made that surgery and hospital stay fantastic! <3 (the whole 6 hours that I was bleeding in recovery we worked with Stephanie on 4 headshots and other Photoshop work she needed help with for one of her school projects … we never get to live twice any minute gifted to us right!? let’s never miss a single opportunity to cherish them… especially when it comes to time with our children! <3 <3 <3
Oh and cute little story… i was going up the street leading to the hospital entrance at 54mph (that’s what HE said! lol I mean… the police officer who stopped me! 😉 ) when … allegedly 😉 … it is supposed to be 25. What!? 4 wide lanes at 25 only! how sad is that!? anyways… so just a few minutes before checking in for my surgery I did get stopped by the police and of course I explained my beautiful “non story” story of how… I was rushing to get a probe inserted all the way into my arteries and heart… and a few more details… and he let me go 🙂 (did I mention moaning a little moaning / acting / showing him my defibrillator inside my chest and a few other helpful… arguments? 😉 ). Oh well… let’s always leverage what we have handy right? 😉 it is usually a source of great pain so why not also sometimes make it work to our advantage? 😉
So I am deeply grateful for the “not new bad news” findings… and for the kind and understanding police officer <3
With lots of love to YOU <3
