I just wanted to share a few words with you about a very heartbreaking new documentary on Netflix about the horrific and devastating subject of… rape 😥😥😥
PLEASE really the the time time to watch it!!!…
…and, by the way, as a little extra shared thought if I may… if I was President (which I of course would never be ego driven enough to be so anyways), I would very simply create right away a very simple law as follows: IF you rape someone (and of course proven guilty) you will simply either be sent to jail with no parole for 50 years! … or maybe even for the rest of your life!… for there is simply nothing that is more avoidable by the perpetrator than … raping someone! It is not like if you unexpectedly hit your elbow and scream a curse word! that is a REACTIVE state… RAPE has NOTHING to do with a reactive state… it is all a VERY AWARE state where you have a thousand opportunities to NOT do it!!!!
If the person who you are with makes the SLIGHTEST comment or facial expression that screams “NO” or looks like fear or anything but a smile.. you then just STOP!!! and go away!!!!… and if you don’t, well you will know that the consequences on YOUR LIFE will be as DESTRUCTIVE as what YOU are about to inflict to another human being!!!!
So many of my Women friends and ex girlfriends have very tragically been raped 😥 and/or abused 😥 and I know too well how it SCARS and destroys their soul, heart and entire being for not months… or years… but for DECADES!.. and often their entire life!!!.
Why would the same consequences not be applied to a rapist??? it is is beyond my understanding that it does not… and that soooo many walk free either right away, or after just a few months or a couple of years of jail… (and btw of course most WILL hurt and destroy again someone else!).
If you DO know IN ADVANCE the very extensive and very real consequences of what you are going to do, even if you do not stop doing it from simple human decency in the first place… I have NO DOUBT that a majority of new rapes would NOT happen!
When people have major consequences to their acts and know of them in advance, it DOES change the actions of most!
If there was no “by the way you know very well that several police cars will be on you within 3 minutes and you WILL go to jail” consequence to any of us walking into a bank and… simply picking up money as we please from the safe… OF COURSE tens of thousands of people would do it!… it is not any different with rape or anything that hurts others with no truly drastic consequences…
So I just wanted to modestly share my 2 cents here on this subject that is very dear to my heart for the thousands of stories that I have listened to, and all the souls whose deep scars I very sadly have witnessed…
