And that great opportunity for me to do exactly that this morning turned out to be a super cute little 6 years old girl, Cory, who I started chatting with while she was with her Mom in line at the said Starbucks coffee shop at UNC… and as I then offered to the Mom to take some cute photos of her baby and herself – just as I loveeeee to do for very many random people each and every day, offering to them (of course without ever telling them that I am kind of a photographer… allegedly😉) to take photos of this moment for, and of, their family, their children etc… and with their own phone of course… knowing very well that I am creating in doing so such very precious memories 💗 for them and for their hearts, for years and decades to come –

OK, back to my new little friend Cory 💗… so I started to chat with her, complimenting her on her super cute glasses, shoes, making her giggle some… bringing some laughter and smiles to her day and to her Mom’s, knowing too well that, if she was here at the hospital, it was that she most probably was dealing with some kind of pain and suffering in her days… and I indeed learned while chatting with her Mom that she was actually here being treated for… advanced leukemia 😥😌😥 Oh my God… poor baby😥… I was sooo deeply sad to learn that… it made my heart cry inside😥…

When people who have had a full and fulfilling life, like me, are dealing with medical struggles… well of course it sucks but guess what?… I DID ALREADY have had a great life… one that I am sooooooo grateful for… and even if I die (again😉 lol in my case… ) well, my heart is filled with endless memories of soooooo many wonderful things… and endless gratefulness for all…  but when it is someone soooo young, like Cory, who is dealing with such health hell, it literally breaks my heart to know and witness so 😥

After our chats and our laughter shared, she waved at me when leaving the Cafe with her Mom to head back to the CANCER aisle 😥… and my heart melted down in tears 😥  even if I knew that at least I could bring a few smiles and some love to her day and to her so beautiful young soul and heart, and to modestly help her forget for a few minutes all the worries and pain that so tragically and so unfairly inhabit her days…

I sooooo wish we could do that, every single day, for each and everyone of the children who suffer all over our planet… and you know what?… maybe we can actually do it, one smile at a time…

So no matter how crappy your day might be, please try to always look for opportunities to bring love, smiles and kindness to others… for, guess what, not a day goes by where I do not have dozens of such opportunities… and you probably do too just as much💗… and all that it really takes is a little awareness of our surroundings… a little awareness that others are suffering too – and oftentimes more than we personally do – and all it takes is a conscious choice to bring love and smiles to their days 💗

I truly hope that your days will be filled with such beautiful opportunities… for it will allow you to make our world a better place… one smile and one act of kindness at a time 💗
